Searching for a little surprise. We are following a sign that says: Bergje, meaning ‘little mountain’. We don't know what it is, and are very surprised to finally spot it.

There indeed is a little mountain and there's a building on top of it.

The climb to the top has been made easy, but it takes a while to get there.

The hill is very narrow, yet high enough to make a serious fall if you make a misstep. There is no fence around the hilltop.

The open space contains a stone table with directions and distances to peculiar areas and cities. Like: Wassenaar 156 km. Probably other castles.

The impressive watertower in Neo-Renaissance style is still part of the Twickle estate, but can now be reached via an open road.
